How quiet and silent the world seems now…………
With no Christmas light and no carol sounds.
The year 2008 has rolled silently by………….
Making room for 2009. How the time does fly!
Behind are the disappointments and sorrows of yesteryear,
While we hold on to the memories that were so dear.
We regret the many deeds that were left undone………
Of feeding the hungry, showing kindness or lifting someone.
We regret the many times we neglected to pray……
Asking God to bless all people of the world each day.
But thanks be to God, who dwells on high….
We have a New Year, another a chance to try……
To be the person that God would have us be……
A blessing to God and to each person we meet.
